The Story.

El De Sol was born out of our pure love of exquisite high-end restaurant and vineyard quality glassware, creating a desire and opportunity to bring high quality, luxury glassware into the comfort of our own homes. When you pick up this glassware, we anticipate these pieces be an exceptional accessory and willing companion to toast, celebrate, giggle, cry, and make treasured memories with, with the people you love the most. An opulent extension to our already existing affordable glassware range, each piece is carefully and perfectly engraved by Bambi to offer a high-end personalised glassware experience that you’ll undoubtedly fall purely and deeply in love with.

The Story behind each magical piece.

Inspired by my honeymoon in November of 2019, myself and my new husband set on a month long adventure across Canada and The United States. I was beyond excited to show my soul mate some of my favourite previously visited places, in my undoubtedly favourite corner of world. The United States held such a special piece of my heart. One of our absolute favourite days from this trip was our full day wine tour in Sanoma, California where we sipped some of the best wines the country had to offer and laughed until our bellies hurt.

Each piece in this collection is in honour of the way we felt, the people we met, the places we visited and the special moments and details that reminded us of home. The small things in life that remind us to be grateful and fill our hearts with joy.

Cali Wine Glass

Cali was born out of our love of California and our time in Sanoma County, California - sampling some of the finest wines the country has to offer. Cali is our biggest, most luxurious glass of the collection, and it reminds me of California vineyards wide open spaces. Clean crisp air, pure silence and a perfect glass of wine that makes you feel right at home.

Cali is for all of your home comforts. For fresh Rose on a Summer Friday night, for a smooth Pinot Noir and deep diving into a comforting romance novel, for a Pinot Gris with your hubby while playing board games and watching movies. Whatever it is, Cali is always there, always home. She’s comfort.

Hart Stemless Wine Glass

Hart is one of my favourite glasses of this collection as it was easily one of my favourite wineries we visited in California – Hartford. It’s a small vineyard but it has such a strong impact on the both of us. Do you believe that everything happens for a reason and that the universe has our fate planned and our destinies set? On this day, we tasted the first barrel of a new drop of Pinot Noir from this winery (the best Pinot I have ever tasted), and we purchased the first ever bottle available for sale to bring home with us - one that we planned to open on our first wedding anniversary. But the universe had set a different path for me. Instead, we swapped our bottle of Pinot for a virgin cocktail, as we were expecting our first baby girl.

This glass is intended to have so many uses. Wine, spirits, cocktails (virgin included). That’s why Hart is our universal glass - it is a testament to the Universe’s plans, adapting, and making the most of what life blesses us with.

Daisy Champagne Glass

Daisy is a super special name for this piece. We had been away from home for a while now, and I was starting to feel a little home sick. We were missing our families, our friends, our home, and most importantly, our fur babies; our two King Charles Cavaliers. At this Winery, to our very welcome surprise, we were greeted and loved by two King Charles Cavaliers, one of which was beautiful ‘Daisy’. She sat by our side the whole time we were there, receiving cuddles and pats, but most importantly comforting us and reminding us of home and everything that we couldn’t wait to return to. Daisy was exactly what we needed when we didn’t know we needed her.

Daisy is our glass for celebrating. For toasting to love, to success, to friendships, to new homes, to life achievements. She reminds us of everything we have to be grateful for, the simple things in life. The ones worth celebrating with a glass of expensive champagne or the cheapest bottle on the shelf. She’s for the smiles, the laughs, the tears. The moments that one day we will look back on, and know that our hearts were filled with joy and love.

Montebello Coupe Glass

Montebello sounds just as fancy as she looks and feels. This name came from a drop harvested in a vineyard we visited, who’s story really stands out and resonates with me. During our time here, we were told stories from the Vineyard’s owner about how the first ever vine was planted in this Californian soil at this Vineyard, one that was bought over from Italy centuries ago. Condensing the story, they were lucky to survive and are now some of the oldest and strongest vines in the world, despite their struggles.

Montebello’s intentions are simple. Sip her whilst you tell and listen to stories, revisit old, treasured memories, and she will be there whilst you make new ones. She can be used for classic champagne of the finest Dom Perignon or Veuve Clicquot, an ice-cold Margherita or your favourite Instagram worthy cocktail, telling stories, overcoming hurdles, and staying strong and positive. And a little bit wild.

Care Tips

Our glasses have been sourced from Luigi Bormioli, made in Italy with the finest crystal glass reinforced with titanium.  Manufactured with a perfect glass distribution, these super-light stems offer pure elegance and impressive functionality. The flattened base on the bowl ensures a high aeration of the wine as it increases the headspace, thus reproducing a decanter effect.

Although our El De Sol glassware is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing your piece to prolong it’s engraved beauty for years to come – so she can travel through life with you, making memories and being the perfect companion through your successes, failures and big life moments.

We recommend letting the piece air dry where possible and avoid rubbing the engraving if you’re drying by hand, as this can move around the fine pieces of glass left behind during the engraving process which can then move away, fall out or chip. To maintain the beauty of the engraving, please avoid touching it as much as possible.
